When the brand new Pinkbike Race Team showed themselves off earlier this year, people were understandably excited. Fresh faces navigating the high-pressure world of professional downhill racing, whilst gliding under the wing of everybody’s favourite presenter Ben Cathro, was something to keep an eye on. Junior riders Jackson Connelly and Aimi Kenyon, and elite rider Thibault Laly jumped into their retro-inspired race kit and dove headfirst into the fray, and it’s been one of mountain biking’s most entertaining stories to follow.
Support from riders and fans was heard across the world, most notably on the Pinkbike comments. One big thing stood out though, and that was the love for the jerseys.
